Smash fans may remember Will Chase as Julia’s lover Michael Swift. He played Bombshell’s Joe DiMaggio until all hell broke loose after he and the married Julia rekindled their affair.
Now, the actor will play lover to another lady–Connie Britton’s character Rayna James on Nashville. The actor will play Luke, a country music star. Nashville show runner, Dee Johnson, recently hinted to TV LIne that “Rayna does get involved with… a musical star of equal or greater stature, which proves interesting.”
From one musical soap opera to another for Will Chase! And in the meantime, he had to give up a starring role in the upcoming musical theater adaptation of Little Miss Sunshine which is set to open off-Broadway in October.
There’s no word on how long the actor’s story arc will last.
