  1. Say what you want about Simon, but when he leaves the show next year it will be AI’s loss. He doesn’t pander to the contestants because the business they are aching to become a part of doesn’t either, not in terms of the rejection and the reality of how really tough it is and how necessary thick skin and sensibilities are.

His blunt critiques may come across as unfeeling with a nasty sting attached, but that is pablem compared to what they will face if they end up with a career as a performer in the music biz. If they crumble under his criticism, they have no business where they seek to be. He is honest and the contestants who look past their bruised egos should be grateful.

He will be missed next season.

  8. It’s true when he said that you’re inclined to think that people around you are going to live for ever and then when someone dear to you is gone, it’s something not easy to face. t’s everyone’s lot. Glad you posted it mj, it gives another little insight to Simon the person
