This is a little off topic, but so off the chain, that I have to post it. After a clueless entertainment anchor from KTLA in Los Angeles confuses Samuel L. Jackson with Laurence Fishburne, Jackson proceeds to hand the reporter’s ass to him in a spectacular fashion.
The KTLA anchor had asked Jackson “Did you get a lot of reaction to that Super Bowl commercial?”
“What Super Bowl commercial?” Jackson asked. “You’re as crazy as the people on Twitter. I’m not Laurence Fishburne.”
“We may be all black and famous, but we all don’t look alike,” Jackson snarked. OUCH. He then proceeds to rundown a bunch of commercials, identifying which black actor (including himself) starred in them. Pretty hilarious stuff. Check out the clip below.
Props to KTLA and the reporter, Sam Rubin, for not backing away from the embarrassing gaffe. Rubin owns up to his stupidity and apologizes profusely.
