Registration Begins Today for Los Angeles Idol Auditions

Registration begins today for American Idol auditions at the Forum in Los Angeles.

The City of Angels will be the 7th and final audition city on the schedule, and was a last minute addition, announced in early September.

I heard LA was always tentatively on the schedule, to be used if needed. And for whatever reason, the producers felt they needed to audition more hopefuls.

But, the extra city will also serve as a dramatic backdrop for the Big Announcement.

As the cattle call auditions get underway in LA tomorrow,   Ryan Seacrest will finally announce the Season 10 American Idol judges panel at a noon PT press conference.

The panel has been widely reported to be made up of returning judge, Randy Jackson, rocker Steven Tyler and actress/popstar, Jennifer Lopez.

If I were you, I’d keep an eye on Ryan’s twitter feed. He has promised to tweet updates and photos as the events unfold.

If you can’t make it to LA this week, you still have 15 days to post your 40 second audition up on the MySpace audition page.

The official announcement at last! Now, we can move on to those US X Factor rumors! Heh.

UPDATE: After the JUMP..FOX LA at the auditions

  1. It would be great if Idol has been creating a massive ruse and neither Steven Tyler nor Jennifer Lopez will be a judge. In fact I’m keeping my fingers crossed they won’t be. But even though TPTB at Idol could probably manage the devious part, I doubt that they could be so inventive.

  2. Yeah, couldn’t make it to L.A. and I don’t think I’d want to bother with Myspace :P. There’s always next year…. Until Idol dies of course :P.
