The Peoples Choice Awards 2014 nominations were announced live this morning via stream. Check out the list of nominees below. Darren Criss (He was part of the live stream), Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, Naya Rivera, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, One Direction and Demi Lovato were all nominated in various categories.

American Idol is not nominated for Favorite TV Competition Show, while The Voice, Dancing with the Stars and even The X Factor made the cut! The people HAVE SPOKEN.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the People’s Choice Awards. How did fans vote in the stone ages? Postcards?

Check out the press release below:

You voted, and voted, and voted, for your favorite People’s Choice Awards pre-nominees. Now, it’s time to reveal which contenders made it on to the ballot.

On Tuesday, 2 Broke Girls stars Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings— who were just crowned hosts of the 2014 People’s Choice Awards! — joined presenters including Darren Criss, Ciara and Allison Janney, to announce the nominees in movies, TV and music for the 40th annual show. The finalists were determined by the number of fan votes they received during the nominee voting phase from Oct. 22 to Oct. 31.

So who got the most nominations this year? While Glee leads the TV pack with a whopping 8 nods, including Favorite Network TV Comedy, Katy Perry roars ahead in music with 5 nominations. In movies, Sandra Bullock also picks up 5 nominations, including two for Favorite Duo (one with Gravity co-star George Clooney and the other with The Heat’s Melissa McCarthy). Another notable nominee? Robin Williams. The veteran funny man — who won his first People’s Choice Award in 1979 for Favorite Actor in a New TV Series for Mork and Mindy — is competing in the same category again 25 years later for his role on The Crazy Ones. How’s that for full circle?

Take a look at the complete list of 2014 People’s Choice Awards nominees below and make sure to vote, vote, and vote again for your favorites. Finalist voting ends on Dec. 5.
