Despite softer numbers for for Peter Pan last month vs the huge ratings for The Sound of Music in 2013, NBC is still planning a live musical for the 2015 holiday season.
Back at the upfronts in May, NBC chief, Bob Greenblatt said the network was planning a production of Music Man. That project may still happen, but this morning at the Television Critics Association tour in Los Angeles, Greenblatt said the network has procured the rights for the Wizard of Oz themed The Wiz.
The network not decided which production will move forward.
