Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Sep 30-Oct 6

Three milestones this week, all from Idol.

First up is Daughtry. With a very impressive spincrease on HAC, the band hops over top 40 and into top 30. “Waiting for Superman”, the debut single from their upcoming album debuted last week in the top 50 in that format.

Next up is Chris Daughtry’s Season-mate (Season 5), Mandisa. Her debut single, “Overcomer”, from the album with the same name has been riding high at the top of the CAC chart for the third week. Given that she is almost 400 spins above the next highest climbing song (and spincreases above double digits are rare), she may have quite a run at the top of that chart.

Finally, we have Season 3 winner, Fantasia. She’s featured on Joe’s latest single “Love & Sex”. The song reached top 15 this week on UAC.
