Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Oct 31-Nov 6

Three milestones this week: one from our first Idol, one from our latest Idol and one from an Idol Simon likes to pretend he championed before her early booting and Oscar acclaim.

By successfully charting on three different charts, Kelly Clarkson seems to be hitting milestones almost every week. This week her milestone is on Pop. She finally pushed through into the top 15 on Pop making “Mr. Know It All” a top 15 hit on three different formats.

Reaching a milestone on Country is Scotty McCreery. His debut single off of his debut album, “The Trouble With Girls”, achieved top 30 in the format. There are a bunch of singles racing up behind him so it will be interesting to see how long he can hold them off.

Finally, Jennifer Hudson has another song charting on UAC. “I Got This” sored from 138 last week to 36th this week. Is this an official single? There has been at least one other song from Jennifer’s latest album which charted without necessarily being a single. It’s all a bit foggy.

Meanwhile, Chris Richardson and Tyga went recurrent on Rhythmic.

*Note: The first Christmas song of the season has made an appearance on AC: Michael Buble’s “All I want For

Christmas”.
