Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Feb 13-19

This week, most of the milestone action is on the Urban and AC related charts with Season 1, 2, 3 and 5 making some noise.

Jennifer Hudson’s new song with Ne-Yo, “Think Like A Man” achieved milestones on two charts. It went Top 30 on Urban and top 50 on UAC. This song isn’t actually from Jennifer’s album. It is from a movie of the same name that is to be released April 20th. Neither Jennifer nor Ne-Yo apparently appear in the movie, but Chris Brown does. But he’s not singing on this song. He is rumoured to be singing on a remix of one Rihanna’s innuendo filled songs, though. Anyway, back to Idols.

Ruben Studdard is also making waves on the UAC chart. His new single “June 28th (I’m Single)” is his lead-off single for his 5th studio album and his first with his new label. It has gone top 20 in the format.

Kelly Clarkson’s singles showed a lot of movement this week (ending the week with a jaw-dropping 2236 spincrease on Pop), but she only had one milestone. “Stronger” went top 20 on AC. the song is now top 20 in three formats and she has 5 entries in the top 20 across the three mainstream charts.

Finally, we have Elliott Yamin. His new single was initially released as part of an EP in the Japanese market in 2011. He will be releasing an album on March 27th for his new label “E1/Purpose Music Group”. “3 Words” has gone top 40 on Ac.
