Aw. This is so sweet! On the eve of Father’s Day, Lauren Alaina closed out the Riverbend Festival to a hometown crowd in Chattanooga, TN. At one point, she called her dad, J.J., up on stage to accompany her on guitar as she sang a few acoustic tunes.
During her introduction of dad, before their performance of “When You Say Nothing At All,” Lauren told the crowd that before she was on American Idol, he would play guitar for her when she sang around town. She warned that dad was real nervous, because it was the largest crowd either of them had ever played to.
“Don’t you cry daddy! Don’t you do it!” warned Lauren when dad got visibly choked up during the performance.
