David Cook Discusses New EP, ‘Chromance’ and his Broadway debut in ‘Kinky Boots’ – Let’s switch gears and talk about “Kinky Boots.” Was doing musical theater something you always envisioned yourself doing one day? How did the opportunity come about? DC: I’ve always been open to the creative process and actually went to college on a theater scholarship around the same time the band started picking up. To be involved in a show with Cyndi Lauper’s name attached to it was also very exciting and the idea of accepting different walks of life is an important story to tell. Now that its come back around and the dates have all matched up, it was very easy to say yes. – Read more at AXS

It almost felt like writing a movie or a story where you’re like ‘well, this one can’t go here, because this hasn’t happened yet!’ You know? – Read more at Albumism.com
