The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees for the 45th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards on Wednesday (March 21). The ceremony will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, April 29, 2018 hosted by Mario Lopez, host and star of the Emmy award-winning syndicated entertainment news show, Extra, and Sheryl Underwood, one of the hosts of the Emmy award-winning, CBS Daytime program, The Talk. The Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards will also be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday, April 27, 2018.
A few of our favorite reality stars were nominated for awards, including American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, former judge Harry Connick Jr. and Dancing with the Stars winner and American Idol season 5 alum Kellie Pickler.
Seacrest is nominated along with Kelly Ripa in the Entertainment Talk Show Host category for Live with Kelly & Ryan. Harry Connick Jr. is also nominated in this category. But. alas, his talk show Harry has been cancelled and will end production later this year. Pickler and her co-host Ben Aaron are nominated in the Informative Talk Show Host category. Live with Kelly & Ryan is nominated for Outstanding Talk Show Entertainment.
