Jennifer Lopez has so much going on, will she have time to sign on for Idol next season? When she was interviewed by Ryan Seacrest last week for E!, she was very cagey about whether she’d be back–she rambled on about letting God make the decision for her…or something.
It’s no wonder. Ms. Lopez has several irons in the fire. Not only will she be promoting her new album Love, set to be released next week, but according to the Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer will be joining the voice cast of 20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Continental Drift, along with Aziz Ansari and hip hop star Drake.
Jennifer will “play Shira, a sabre toothed tiger who melts the heart of Diego, also a sabre toothed tiger.” The film is set to open July 13, 2012
Also, Deadline reports that Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment will announce tomorrow morning that it has partnered with Jennifer and her husband, Marc Anthony and top music tour director, and choreographer Jamie King for Q’Viva! The Chosen, a “Latin-flavored performing competition reality series, which had been in the works for awhile.”
As part of the show, Jlo and Mark will spend 3 months traveling the Americas to select performers – singers and dancers – from different nationalities. The search will be documented on the show, which will be filmed in three languages and broadcast simultaneously across 21 countries in North America, Central America and South America.
“This is a show for the 21st century with an unprecedented global and local story, ” Jennifer says. “The Latin culture is a tapestry that is rich in passion, tradition and artistry. We are going to places where all of this talent lives and wouldn’t have otherwise been discovered. This journey for me and Marc is going be exciting and groundbreaking.”
