No concerts to report today – probably because everybody was too busy buying 1D’s new album. Sony reports that “Made in the A.M.” sold 100K in the first 24 hours. It is currently number 2 on iTunes behind Drake (one wonders how many units he must be moving) and is set to go head-to-head with Bieber on November 13th. Twitter should be interesting that week.
Adele also announced a release date for her album the week after (Nov 20th). November is going to be Nirvana for the Number Nuts.

Pandora says it just passed the milestone of pain $1.5B to rights holders for music it streamed. $500M in royalties will be paid this year. Where is the money going? Songwriters and artists keep telling us they are getting no money and the streaming services keep telling us they are paying a lot. Show me the money. What hole is it falling into? Is it just being used to buy Clive Davis solid gold bathroom fixtures and Jimmy Iovine a new baseball hat?
