Former Nashville Star contestant Miranda Lambert easily tops the charts for the first time and selling 3 times as much as the second place album (aging “Frozen” which does well to be in the top 10 let alone be top 2). HDD estimates about 179K in sales for Miranda who has also mentored on The Voice (on which her husband is a judge).
Other notable news is Led Zeppelin re-releases ending up at 8th, 10th and 11th. Phillip Phillips drops a reasonable 33% in his third week (typical drops are in the 40% range) for 32nd. X-Factor’s Emblem3 drop an independent EP to iTunes and make the top 50 at 44th with 6K sold. Considering it was done with little fan-fair and with no single, that isn’t horrible.
