‘The Voice’ winner Cassadee Pope will not perform at Rascal Flatts Tuscaloosa Amphitheater show – The first female winner of “The Voice” Cassadee Pope will not perform with country stars Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry on at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on Thursday, Oct. 10, Red Mountain Entertainment announced. Mariah Carey Dislocates Shoulder During Video Shoot – Mariah Carey was rushed to the hospital after dislocating her shoulder while shooting a video for the remix of her song “#Beautiful.” The singer was taken to New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery on the Upper East Side late Sunday night, the New York Post reported. “She was taken to [the] hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder,” Carey’s rep Cindi Berger told the Post. “She is fine and is recovering at home.” – Read more at Hollywood Reporter

Verges wrote “The Heart of Dixie” with Brett James and Caityln Smith, and the tune will be the debut single for “The Voice” Season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery.Roughstock recently asked Verges about the song and the inspiration behind the lyrics, and here is what he had to say! “We wrote ‘The Heart of Dixie’ a little over a year ago,” Verges recalls to Roughstock. “All three of us were up at the studio that Brett and I share on 19th [in Nashville].
