Casey James ‘Never Been More Proud’ of New Music – Just because you haven’t heard much for the curly haired cutie since his last single, 2012?s ‘Crying on a Suitcase,’ doesn’t mean he hasn’t been busy. He’s been picking songs, perfecting tunes and getting ready to release a new album. He even let fans get a sneak peek of whats to come by playing them a few of the newly mastered tracks. James says he finally feels like this album is all him. “I feel that this record is as close to me as anything could ever be. There’s so much to say about it, it’s hard to say in a few sentences but there’s no compromise I mean it’s all exactly what I want it to be and it feels to me like an accumulation of my entire life’s journey — where I’m at right now, every experience that I’ve ever had, every failure, every success, every mistake, every right choice, every wrong choice, everything has all led me to this point to make these songs and have them sound that way and I’ve never been more proud of anything in my whole life.” – Read more at Taste of Country

What Happened to Idol’s Dreadlocked Jason Castro? – DALLAS – He may not have taken the crown, but fans of “American Idol” still remember former contestant Jason Castro for his dreadlocks and carefree sound. He scored big on the show, making it all the way to the top four. After leaving Idol in 2008, Castro quickly scored a No. 1 international hit. The Swon Brothers discuss debut album, Carrie Underwood & Lady Antebellum collaboration: Exclusive – The Swon Brothers offer up their best summer-y (and romantic) anthem with their debut single “Later On,” a sweeping pop-rocker that speaks to radio’s target demo. As the lead-in to their highly-anticipated post-Voice debut record, Colton and Zach are certainly making their mark, as the song itself sits just outside the Top 20 at both Billboard (Country Airplay) and Mediabase (Country Aircheck). “It’s unreal man. Golly. We’re just two blessed, very grateful guys,” Colton shares with NashvilleGab, exclusively of their success so far. “It couldn’t get any better. We’re just enjoying it, man, just trying to take time to soak it in. Everybody tells us, ‘just take time to breathe and think about what’s going on.’” – Nashville Gab
