Aguilera, Rascal Flatts team up for ACMs – For Christina Aguilera, the duet with Rascal Flatts on Sunday’s 50th Academy of Country Music Awards will be a chance to introduce a new song. For Rascal Flatts, it’s a chance for redemption. The two acts will perform a pair of songs — Aguilera’s Shotgun and Flatts’ current single Riot — during the awards ceremony. “We’re going to do some of her song, then go into Riot,” says Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus. “It’s going to be a nice, seamless transition and a really powerful performance.” – Read more at USA Today
Smash-Inspired Bombshell Concert, With Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty, Sells Out – Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron have announced that the upcoming Actors Fund benefit concert of the musical Bombshell from the TV series Smash, sold out in just over one hour of going on sale. The evening is set to take place on June 8 at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre, and will feature original Smash cast members Christian Borle, Will Chase, Megan Hilty, Katharine McPhee, and Debra Messing. Kelly Clarkson Can’t Be Put Down: “I’m Never Going to Obsess About My Body” – But Kelly, who is every bit “Miss Independent,” says that while Brandon has her back, she’ll always know how to fight for herself. “Brandon is not my other half. He’s a whole and I’m a whole. I’ve never believed in someone taking care of me, and that’s probably because I grew up poor and without a lot of family stability,” she told REDBOOK. “I don’t obsess about my weight, which is probably one of the reasons why other people have such a problem with it,” she says of her Internet trolls. Instead, Kelly has made peace with her body. “There are just some people who are born skinny and with a great metabolism–that is not me. I wish I had a better metabolism. Dancing with the Stars celeb blog: Robert Herjavec reflects on his progress and a very special fan – We stepped into the magical world of Disney this week. The ballroom was hyped with all of the characters, the familiar music, and the stunning animation. Kym and I danced the quick step to Mary Poppins’ “Step in Time,” and let’s just say the quick step won. We were really disappointed to get 6s—our lowest scores to date—but I get it. We are halfway through this challenge and the competition is getting fierce. I may not be a natural dancer, but I’ve learned a lot and I can do better. I got off on the wrong foot (literally, not metaphorically!), and it went downhill from there. I still don’t know what we are dancing to next week… but after a fun group rehearsal last night and some time to reflect, we will come back and be better than ever. – Read more at Entertainment Weekly
