‘American Idol’ eliminated contestant: ‘I’m trying to contact Ryan Murphy’ – “I think I came back with my last song. But that wasn’t enough,” said Arbos, who admitted that as soon as they broke the group up into pairs, he knew he was out. “I wish I could have gone home on a better note. Some notes were rough.” “But I’m technically not allowed to say who I want to win,” he said. (BUT YOU DID ON TWITTER. Also, I had no idea that was a rule) He also said with a laugh that he’s trying to contact Ryan Murphy because he’d love to be on Glee. (Setting aside the lack of talent deal, The turn around on Glee for learning songs and choreo is brutal.) – Read more at EW
American Idol Backstage Scoop: Find Out Who’s Trying to Get on Glee! – Take, for instance, his answer to the question of what judge Nicki Minaj, one of his harshest critics, had said to him onstage after his elimination. “She invited me to the club!” a deadpan Lazaro cracked. While he may not actually go out clubbing with Ms. Minaj anytime soon, he assured us there were no hard feelings over any of the not-so-flattering things she’d said about his performances. “I love her, and she loves me, regardless of what she says on camera,” he said. “She said that I’ll be fine because I have a lot of people who love me, and she’s not worried about me.” – Read more at EOnline

Kellie Pickler updates Fans on Facebook – This weekend/upcoming week is gonna be a CRAZY one. Derek and I are dancing the Foxtrot on Monday night’s show & I gotta be honest this dance has not been very kind to my feet, ha ha. This is the first ballroom dance that we have been assigned so far this season which makes it even more of a challenge for me. I’m excited about next week because I’m going back into the studio to work on my new album…we’ve cut 3 songs so far and we’re cutting 3 (possibly 4) end of next week…if Derek and I make it through Tuesdays “elimination night” then I’ll record here in LA. If not, then I’ll fly back to Nashville and record there. – Read more at Facebook

Transcending ‘Idol,’ Two Roles at a Time – LOS ANGELES — Constantine Maroulis does not want to be thought of as just — his words — “that guy with the hair from ‘American Idol.’ ” “I know that people want to sort of tear me down,” Mr. Maroulis said, sitting in a hotel room here at the start of the revival’s six-month pre-Broadway tour. (Now in previews, it opens April 18 at the Marriott Marquis Theater.) “But I’m on the path that I wanted to be on 25 years ago, when I was looking forward to what my career would be like.” – Read more at The New York Times

Bo Bice: Singer talks upcoming Huntsville show, new LP and Nicki Minaj’s ‘American Idol’ tardiness – Bo Bice describes the sound of his new album “New Soul Revival” like this: “It’s almost like if Ray Charles and Willie Nelson ran into each other and jammed one evening.” “New Soul Revival” features gospel hymns (“I’ll Fly Away,” “Isn’t No Grave (Gonne Hold My Body Down),” etc.) and new, Americana-tinged originals (Bice’s “Glory Hallelujah” and “Snow White Dove,” and a song co-written with longtime producer D. Scott Miller, “I Had An Enemy”). AL.com
Dancing’s Derek Hough: I’m Having Choreographer’s Block – This week we have the foxtrot. It’s going… OK! I’m not going to lie — it’s been one of those weeks where I’m not liking anything I’m choreographing. It’s one of those things where the creative process is not coming to me. On Wednesday, I was banging my head against the brick wall. Sometimes you just have your off days. It’s choreographer’s block, I guess. I have a lot on my plate this week, so it’s about compartmentalizing and not getting overwhelmed. But I’m excited for the dance. Whenever I beat myself up about the choreography, it’s only because I want to arrive at the right stuff, so I think it will turn out good. – Read more at TV Guide
