Scotty McCreery and Keith Urban to Perform Together at 2011 CMA Awards?

Keith Urban regretted not being able add his guitar work to ‘Walk in the Country,’ a track from Scotty McCreery‘s new ‘Clear as Day’ album. Next Wednesday, the country superstar may have a chance to make up for it, as McCreery will reportedly take the stage to perform the Urban original at the 2011 CMA Awards — possibly alongside Urban.

Urban recorded the song for his 1997 album ‘The Ranch’ and suggested McCreery cut it for his debut project. It’s one of the highlights on ‘Clear as Day,’ but it begs for Urban’s hot licks. Mjsbigblog reports that the new issue of Entertainment Weekly confirms McCreery’s performance. With all the made-for-television collaborations that are planned for the ABC broadcast, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Urban join him onstage.
