The 2nd day of the American Idol 11 judges’ round auditions take place in Portland Oregon today.

Scotty aims for slice of normal in Garner
“I try to live life as normal as possible around here, ” Scotty said last week while hanging out after school in the living room of the home in which he grew up.
With his first album, “Clear As Day, ” to be released Tuesday, Scotty won’t have a “normal” time this week. He’ll be all over TV, from “Today” to Regis, Leno to Ellen. Then there’s the documentary about his life in Garner that will premiere Monday on the GAC cable channel. And, of course, the album release/birthday bash concert set for Saturday at Raleigh’s Walnut Creek amphitheatre.

After Carrie Underwood recently spoke out about considering adoption with NHL hubby Mike Fischer, fellow country music star Jason Aldean spoke exclusively to OK! about what he thinks the “Undo It” singer could be like as a mom.
“She is a sweetheart, ” Jason gushed of Carrie, 28, over the phone to OK! on Friday afternoon after recent reports revealed she may be adopting soon, “And I am sure when the time comes that she has kids, she will be a great parent.”

Scotty has his sweet moments though that even Mommy Cynthia, who gets excited everytime the topic ScoThia is brought up, can never forget.
“Scotty has a thing about girls and pooping, ” narrates Thia. “He doesn’t like the fact that girls poop. He tries to ignore that fact. And so our studio teacher during the tour, she made a sign and she put it on our classroom wall and it said: ‘Pretty Girls Don’t Poop –Scotty McCreery.’ So the night I got eliminated…We all said our goodbyes… and he [Scotty] whispered into my ear and he said, ‘By the way, pretty girls don’t poop.’ So I’m going to miss him telling me that!”
