Casey James Getting Great Reaction to Debut Single

“The crowds have been really receptive to the music, and what’s really cool is that I was playin’ this song months and months ago out touring and really getting the reactions, and then when I went in the studio, it took a whole new life, and we changed it up, ” Casey says. “I upped the tempo on it and changed a few things about the song. And I loved it so much that I started playin’ it like that live, and then the reception was even better, so that’s been a really great thing.”

Is ‘American Idol’ committing Emmy suicide?

t’s an old saying: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. If that’s true, then the Emmy diagnosis for “American Idol” is insanely clear. Despite being TV’s top-rated reality show — indeed, TV’s highest-rated program, period — it is about to lose the Emmy Award for best reality-competition show for a ninth time. And no wonder: “Idol” show runners keep submitting the same sample episode every year — the season finale — and it keeps losing. This year, they’ve done it again.

Aerosmith Working on New Album, Eyeing May 2012 Release

Aerosmith is involved in something “raw” and “nasty, ” according to longtime producer Jack Douglas (Clutch), and for once, it’s not a disagreement between Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.

In a recent web post, Douglas revealed that the Boston hard-rock vets will release their 14th studio album sometime around May 2012. Sessions began in early July, Blabbermouth.net reports, but with South American and Japanese tours scheduled for the fall and early winter, the band won’t be able to resume recording until January.

Interview With “Glee”‘s Harry Shum: “I Usually Don’t Just Lift Up My Shirt ”

The most surprising thing about meeting Glee’s Harry Shum is how soft-spoken and well, small isn’t the right word exactly, as he’s actually taller than co-star Darren Criss. But Shum doesn’t seem to take up much space, and while some of that certainly has to do with his slender frame, it’s more about the fact that he doesn’t suck up all the oxygen when he enters a room the way some celebrities do. Indeed, unlike some actors, Shum isn’t boastful or egocentric, and he certainly didn’t seem to be trying to attract attention to himself on the crowded walkway at Gladstones in Malibu, which on an August evening earlier this month was packed with stars from the Fox network for that network’s TCA party.

BGT: Hoff axed after rating slump

Bosses reckon the judging panel of former Baywatch star Hoff, 59, Michael McIntyre, 35, and veteran Amanda Holden, 40, “lacks sparkle”.

The Baywatch legend – seen as a major signing by ITV to replace Simon Cowell – often had difficulty understanding contestants’ accents. A source said: “David was a great booking at the time.

“We thought he’d bring loads of laughs and warmth but it didn’t work out. He was fun but had no connection with the acts.
