Michael Chiklis Is a Go, Jennifer Lopez a Maybe for ‘Parker’

It’ll be bald-on-bald action as two of cinema’s most badass action stars, Michael Chiklis and Jason Statham, go head to shiny head for ‘Parker.’

Chiklis has been mostly playing good guys since wrapping his iconic role as Vic Mackey on ‘The Shield, ‘ now he returns to the dark side with a role as a villain opposite antihero Statham, who’s playing the anithero of the title.

And Jennifer Lopez has been focusing more on judging than acting, but she’s in talks for the female lead.

Platinum Hit’s Jackie Tohn on Doing Idol Versus Hit

What did you prefer: American Idol or Platinum Hit?
Tohn: That’s a really hard question. American Idol, though I got eliminated sooner, was way less stress. Although I say that now and my friends and family are like, “Are you kidding? You were a lunatic.” On New Year’s Eve of 2008, we had to mail in our song selections. I had to leave a party to Google what songs I’d sing. Platinum Hit was cooler because I got to show what I do: write music. That said, Idol was every man for himself and I wish Platinum Hit would have been.

Happy anniversary to Carrie Underwood and her hockey hubby, Mike Fisher. The duo celebrated their one-year anniversary this weekend by spending time at Blackberry Farm, according to a tweet posted by Fisher. We’re going to venture a guess that it was quite the romantic excursion for these two love birds.

Fisher first posted this tweet: “Happy Anniversary to the one God made for me!!” Yes, we know, we said “Awww” too. What a lucky lady Underwood is to have such a sweet husband.

Clint Jun Gamboa: The Reality Rocks Interview

Dive-bar karaoke host Clint Jun Gamboa could sing like no one’s bizness, wore rad Mr. Peabody spectacles, had personality for days, and recorded songs for the soundtrack of the ridiculous cult flick The Room. So naturally, he was one of my early favorite contestants of “American Idol” Season 10.

‘SYTYCD’: Mary Murphy on the Top 14 week’s new choreographers and new judges

Last Wednesday’s episode was an exciting night with new choreographers and new judges!

Yes, some new choreographers came in with a big splash, while others, not so much. I’m happy to report I loved the work that Justin Giles did with the seven guys — it was interesting and kept my attention the entire time. His other number also hit big, a contemporary piece starring Jess and Clarice, who in my opinion are coming on stronger every week. It will be interesting to see what happens when this partnership is broken up.

Don’t let spoilers ruin your fun

Spoiler alert: Romeo and Juliet die, Scarlett doesn’t love Ashley but Rhett walks out anyway, the Ring of Power is destroyed, Moby-Dick wins, Laura Palmer was killed by her father, and Soylent Green is people.

Sorry if you haven’t read or seen the above works and now feel that I have just ruined them and possibly your life by revealing the endings, but I’m trying to make a point. Endings are just as important as beginnings and as such are fair game for commentary and opinion without having to hem and haw and insert childish “stop reading here” warnings to avoid being slapped around by the spoiler-alert police.
