Crystal Bowersox Always Wanted to Fix Her Teeth
Bowersox, who split with her boyfriend before the Idol finale, had previously turned down an offer to get her teeth done for free earlier this year, saying that she was beautiful the way she was. Why the change of heart?
“I had turned down an offer that I thought was very rude, ” Bowersox, 24, says. “There was a dentist that made a public offer — he didn’t contact me personally, and so I turned him down publicly. It’s not that I didn’t want to do it. I’ve always wanted to do it.”

Kelly Clarkson has high hopes for her new album.
The original “American Idol” Tweeted on Friday that the follow up to 2009’s “All I Ever Wanted” is going really, really well.
“The album is gonna b awesome, ” Kelly wrote. “just got some songs back from my session in LA!”
As a means of celebration, Kelly said she was hitting the road this weekend.
“in between session so I figured why not road trip!” she Tweeted.

TOMS RIVER — An Ocean County grand jury has charged a Toms River man with aggravated manslaughter and other crimes in a hit-and-run accident in Seaside Heights last year that claimed the life of a former “American Idol” hopeful.
The grand jury on Thursday handed up a four-count indictment charging Daniel J. Bark, 24, of Huddy Drive with aggravated manslaughter, death by auto, eluding police and knowingly leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a death.
‘Nashville Rising’ raises $2.2 million
The all-star June 22 “Nashville Rising” concert at Music City’s Bridgestone Arena raised more than $2.2 million to benefit flood relief efforts in Tennessee.
The money, comprising ticket sales, donations and corporate sponsorships, will be distributed by the non-profit Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s Emergency Response Fund.
