James Durbin to return for an encore concert at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk – A year after Santa Cruz’s instantly famous rocker James Durbin headlined “Durbin Day” at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, he is poised for an encore. The Beach Boardwalk announced Wednesday that Durbin would return for a live concert at the Beach Bandstand on May 19, just five days after the original event’s first anniversary. Like the original event, the 2012 show will be free with seating determined on a first-come, first-served basis. ‘Idol’ High School Dropout I’m Going Back to School! – “American Idol” castoff Travis Orlando — who dropped out of high school last year to focus on singing — is going back to school … and TMZ has learned, it’s all thanks to an “Idol” camera operator.
