Emmys Shake-Up Includes New Reality-TV Races, Potentially More Best Series Contenders – As previously reported by TVLine, the Outstanding TV-Movie and Outstanding Miniseries categories have returned to being separate, after several years of merging the two. However, performance categories for TV-movies and minis will remain consolidated, though the number of nominees has expanded from five to six. Kris Allen to perform in Freehold – Kris Allen is one tough dude. Not long after the release of his latest album, “Thank You Camellia,” in 2012, he broke his right arm on New Year’s Day. The gritty singer-songwriter’s automobile was hit head-on when a woman swerved into Allen’s lane after he visited his parents in Arkansas. ‘American Idol’ Alum Casey Abrams on NYC Shows, Acting and Free Music (Video) – American Idol alum Casey Abrams will kick off a three-night concert series at New York’s City’s Iridium Jazz Club on Thursday, Feb. 20. The season 10 troubadour, who impressed Idol audiences each week with his mastery of instruments — most notably, the stand-up bass — will play a total of six shows, with two sets at 8 and 10 p.m. each night. “Why not?” he said of the packed schedule. “I’ve got so much music in my soul. Simon Cowell’s Beverly Hills home up for grabs for a mere $17.9 Million – Simon Cowell, the former American Idol judge, has reportedly put his bachelor pad in Beverly Hills up for sale for a mere $17.9 million. The move marks the new dad’s second attempt at selling the house he first listed for $20 million in October 2013. The media personality purchased the place from AEG’s Randy Phillips for $15.5 million two years ago, reports the Los Angeles Times. According to the Zillow blog, the residence is a single family home spanning an area of 12,000 square feet. Built in 2001, the large estate sits on a prime two-acre lot.
