SNL KICKS OFF THE NEW YEAR WITH TWO SHOWS IN JANUARY – On January 18, Drake takes the SNL stage as host and musical guest. Drake was recently nominated for four 2014 Grammy Awards, and just completed his North American “Would You Like A Tour?” tour. Jonah Hill returns for his third hosting engagement on January 25. The Oscar-nominated actor stars in the Martin Scorsese film, “The Wolf of Wall Street,” currently in theaters. U.K. band Bastille joins Hill for their SNL debut. Their single “Pompeii” topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart for four weeks and will be featured on “All This Bad Blood,” a multi-part deluxe album set for release in the U.S. on January 14. – Via NBC

Performers Announced For Beatles Special – The first performances for “The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute To The Beatles” have been announced. Scheduled to perform are four-time GRAMMY winner Annie Lennox and GRAMMY winner Dave Stewart reuniting as Eurythmics for one night only; 14-time GRAMMY winner Alicia Keys with nine-time GRAMMY winner John Legend; three-time GRAMMY-winning group Maroon 5; and seven-time GRAMMY winner John Mayer with four-time GRAMMY winner Keith Urban. Additional performers and presenters will be announced shortly. The show will tape on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, the day after the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards, and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network Sunday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT — exactly 50 years to the day, date, and time of the original event. – Read more at Grammy.com

Daft Punk to Perform With Stevie Wonder at the Grammys – Daft Punk may have been laying low since releasing their smash hit album Random Access Memories this past May, but they’re making their first live performance in support of the album a truly memorable one. Stevie Wonder is set to team up with the electronic duo when they perform at this year’s Grammys, sources confirmed to Rolling Stone. Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, who both appear on Daft Punk’s latest album, will also join in the performance, along with Random Access Memories session players Chris Caswell, Nathan East, Omar Hakim and Paul Jackson Jr. – Read more at Rolling Stone

Jessica Sanchez likens Boracay to paradise – MANILA – Amid her hectic schedule, Jessica Sanchez finally found time to explore the Philippines during her fourth visit to the country this year. After headlining a New Year’s countdown show at Eastwood in Quezon City last December 31, Sanchez traveled to Bataan, which is the native town of her mom. She was accompanied by her grandparents and two aunts. The young singer also went to Subic in Zambales where she saw a dolphin show at the Ocean Adventure. Aside from traveling up north, Sanchez also made sure to see the beauty of Boracay in the Visayas.
