One 8 year old boy gets the surprise of his life from country singer Bucky Covington – One 8 year old birthday boy had the chance to not only sing with Bucky Covington, but the country singer also attended his birthday party earlier that day. 8 year old Austin who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy finds comfort in listening to music according to his mother. Christina Weaver says, “As soon as Bucky came out on stage, he spotted Austin and kinda waved his hand at him. Later that night at the concert, he had Austin up on stage. Lee DeWyze, American Idol winner, coming to OSR – DeWyze toured OSR earlier this year when he had some free time. He said “The Shawshank Redempion,” filmed at OSR and throughout central Ohio, is his all-time favorite movie. “It was amazing,” said DeWyze, adding OSR staff allowed him to perform inside the prison chapel on his guitar and even videotape the session. He knew he wanted to come back. “The acoustics are unlike anything I’ve heard,” he said of the chapel. “It was unbelievable.” At DeWyze’s OSR show, he plans to play a lot of new music he’s written. – Read more at Mansfield News Journal
