News has exclusively learned that David Foster and Katharine McPhee met up at Nobu in Malibu Friday evening for a dinner date. According to a source, the pair arrived around 8:30 p.m. and was seated at a private, sea-front table in a corner. “David and Katharine were very intimate during their dinner,” our insider shared. “David was seen grabbing Katharine’s face and kissing her cheek several times. Paula Abdul talks ‘American Idol’ reboot, but says she doesn’t want to come back – During a chat with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on TODAY Monday, Abdul — who was visiting to promote her tour with New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men — said she was in no “rush rush” to become a judge again. “I’m excited for the reboot,” she said when asked if she’d like to return to the show, which wrapped its 15-season run on Fox last year. “I had an incredible time on that show and blessed to be part of it from the beginning, but I think they need to do a whole reboot.” – Video at Today.com
“American Idol” champ Jordin Sparks “excited” for the show’s return…but she’s got some suggestions – Jordin says she’s “excited” about the return, but laughs, “It’s just funny because we literally did the finale last year! Like, it was only a year ago!” “I mean, I love the show, it will always have a special place in my heart,” she tells ABC Radio. “And I’ll watch it. Anytime it’s on, I will be watching it or DVRing it.” As for what changes, if any, Jordin would like to see the show make, she says she feels it’s important that ABC keep it to one airing per year. “It gave you time to watch it, to grow, to love the contestants,” she says of the “one Idol season per year” rule.
