HDD – Album Sales Prediction : May 7-13

With 54.02% of the market reporting in, Carrie Underwood seems destined to top the BB200 chart for a second week in a row. When was the last time an Idol did that? Have they ever done that? In any event, not many acts get to do that. Adele, of course, has, but we’ve established that she’s a very special case indeed. If anybody threatens Carrie’s domination of the chart this week, it is Adele who is lurking at number 2 and predicted to finish there.

NOW 42 features songs from Kelly Clarkson and 1D. It is currently third. Lionel Richie, who was recently a mentor on The Voice, is showing a lot of legs at 4th. B.O.B. is 5th with Luke Bryan is 6th. The two “Up All Night” albums are again right next to each other on the chart with 1D’s version at 7th and Kip Moore’s at 8th. Mary Mary is the top debut at 9th and the Avenger’s Soundtrack rounds out the top 10.

Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” is at 35 and she appears on Jason Aldean’s album “My Kinda Party” at 12th. Jennifer Hudson sings the title track of the “Think Like a Man” Soundtrack at 30th. Katharine McPhee is featured on the “Smash” Soundtrack residing at 48th. Voice judge Blake Shelton’s album is at 18.
