With 40.05% of reports in, two debut albums are set to top the charts. Adele will have to make do with 3rd place on her relentless march to diamond status. Usher looks to have the top album and top debut with “Looking 4 Myself” predicted to sell between 120-125K. Right behind them are “Rush”. Not too bad for a Canadian Rock band that has been around since 1968 and not going the “duets” route. “Clockwork Angels” is their 20th studio album and it is predicted to sell 90-95K
Alan Jackson will top the country charts this week and is currently 4th amongst all albums. “NOW Country 5” is nipping at his heels at 5th. Idols aren’t “NOW Country”, but Blake Shelton has a track on the compilation album. Waka Flocka Flame is a bit of a tongue twister and they are in 6th followed by NOW 42 in 7th. Luke Bryan is 8th.
Carrie Underwood is the top Idol at 9th and she is almost the only Idol. I haven’t seen a HDD report this small in a long time. Kelly Clarkson dangles at the bottom of the chart (50th) making sure that Carrie isn’t lonely. She also appears on that NOW 42 album (7th) and Jason Aldean’s album (17th).
One Direction is the sole X-Factor representative on the chart. They appear at 10th and on that NOW 42 album (7th).
