Glee “Born This Way” Episode Officially Expands to 90 minutes

It was out there as a rumor, but now FOX makes it official. The April 26 episode of Glee, featuring Lady Gaga’s self-acceptance anthem, “Born This Way”, will be expanded to 90 minutes.

The press release FOX released today contains a few spoilers:

In the “Born This Way” episode, MR. SCHUESTER (Matthew Morrison) teaches the glee club a valuable lesson about self-acceptance and embracing what makes you unique through the music of Lady Gaga. Meanwhile, LAUREN ZIZES (guest star Ashley Fink) and QUINN FABRAY (Dianna Agron) go toe-to-toe for the prom queen crown, MS. PILLSBURY (Jayma Mays) confronts her obsessive issues, RACHEL BERRY (Lea Michele) struggles with a life-altering decision and SANTANA LOPEZ (Naya Rivera) has something up her sleeve that could permanently alter the glee club dynamic.

The new promo, which aired after last night’s repeat, gave us a few glimpses into what we might expect from the next couple of episodes, including Sue Sylveter assembling a “Legion of Doom”, Brittany getting her smart on, and Blaine getting ready to kick some Karovsky butt.

Speaking of Karaovsky, at one of the spoiler sites I read he and Santana would go to the prom together, running for prom king and queen. Here’s what I think will happen: Santana goes to prom with Karovsky to piss off the rest of the glee club. They actually WIN prom king and queen, go off to a motel for a post-celebratory snog. Both realize their hearts (and genitals) aren’t in it, admit to each other they’re really playing for the other team. They share a secret that bonds and helps them eventually come to terms with who they really are.

Ok it’s just a theory.   If  you have any…feel free to share.

Also Rachel’s crisis? She considers getting a nose job. (for realz)
