America’s Got Talent runner-up, Emily West, is set for dates in New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Chicago. The singer was recently signed by Sony Masterworks and will release her next album, All For You, this summer. Check out the press release below:
NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — “America’s Got Talent” finalist and Sony Music recording artist EMILY WEST announces residencies in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
Emily just released a new video collaboration with Postmodern Jukebox. It is a Roy Orbison-esque version of Kanye West & Paul McCartney’s “Only One.”
Her debut full-length album All For You will be released in Summer 2015 – it is available for preorder now.
Emily West is a musical maverick in the masquerade of pin-up perfection. Musically captivating and innovative, she knows she has been a hard case for the industry to define. “I’m a Jessica Rabbit/Tom Waits kinda-something. I love hearing beautiful melodies telling me horrible things. I wear my heart on my sleeve. Judy, Barbara, Patsy, Rufus Wainwright, Antony & the Johnsons. I love to interpret a song. I love to sing stories.” Earlier this year, she made the decision to try out for “America’s Got Talent.” “I thought maybe if I audition in front of the world, I could save time and see where it takes me.” It was a wise decision. West excelled on the National stage and came in second in the renowned competition – a result she hopes will allow her to play to the breadth of audience she’s always wanted, and to take them with her on this exciting journey. West is hard at work recording her debut album for Portrait/Sony Music Masterworks. In December she shared the stage with Cyndi Lauper at Lauper’s annual “Home For The Holidays” benefit concert at the Beacon in NYC. She also co-hosted the red carpet at the first “American Country Countdown Awards” in Nashville.
