Welcome to the third live result show of the 16th season of Dancing with the Stars. Tonight, we have special guest performances by Brad Paisley and Andrea Bocelli with Jennifer Lopez. We are also going to be entertained by all the female pros and troupe members (as the males did last week) and a very special dance featuring Derek Hough. And when all is said and done, the second couple that had the lowest combined total of audience support and judge scores will be eliminated.
Our poll here at MJ’s suggest that the time is up for Lisa And Gleb. Also with a nice amount of votes are D.L. And Cheryl and Victor and Lindsay.
I think between getting the pimp spot (last spot to dance) and her fainting, Lisa may have bought herself another week in the competition. I do think she deserves to go and perhaps this show is just too much for her but she was safe last week and I can’t imagine the backstage issues this week did anything but help her cause with her supporters. D.L. had his first really average week after being truly horrible for the first three weeks of the show. Could a decent performance and warm responses from the judges cause his fans to back away from voting like mad? It is possible. But the couple I see exiting tonight is Victor And Lindsay. They danced early, it wasn’t as good as last week, and they have been in jeopardy before. I like Victor and I do see potential there but if I had to place a bet this week, it would be on him. I think (and hope) Andy survives another week as he really had a touching and decent routine last night.
Everyone else shouldn’t really need to worry tonight. As usual, the show could place a shocking couple in jeopardy only to reveal them safe later and boost some votes. Who would get that honor? It could be Sean And Peta, though it wouldn’t surprise me if he actually was in danger. He and Ingo are the two male dancers who I see at the same level so far without going up or down. But both have supporters for sure, so we shall see how it goes. At this rate, the biggest question of the season is who is going to join Kellie and Zendaya in the finals- Aly or Jacoby. I really do believe those four are heading easily to the end of the competition. One of them needs to start falling badly while another couple shockingly impresses weekly for that to change. So let’s start our segment by segment recap. Enjoy :D
Segment 1
The show starts with all the female pros and troupe members out to dance to Beyonce’s “Run The World (Girls).” That was hot. Sharna choreographed that. The males were a little better last week but they also had more time. But this was a really high energy and fun girl power routine with some contemporary choreography. Fun!
Now, a quick look back on last night’s highlights. It is now time for the first results of the night.
The first couple safe is… Aly and Mark.
The next couple also safe is… Zendaya And Val.
The next couple safe as well are… Kellie And Derek.
And safe as well… Ingo And Kym.
Segment 2
Len is going to tell us which dance the judges want to see an encore. Aly And Mark and their contemporary routine are out. Pretty much a duplicate of last night (which is a good thing considering it was pretty damn fantastic last night).
Jacoby And Karina and Sean And Peta are out to talk with Tom. Some results are coming! A package airs about how Karina started early last night before the introduction. Pretty funny. And Jacoby And Karina are safe! Sean And Peta were not happy last night. A video package shows how unhappy they were about the routine. Sean assumed he was going to be in the bottom but guess what… Sean And Peta are safe!
So, we are down to the last four couples who also happen to be the weakest and lowest overall scoring dancers in the competition.
Segment 3
And now some filler. The show pretends that Bruno has a writer backstage who tells him exactly what to say. It is like a control center backstage helping Bruno out. Funny. Of course, Tom announces that Bruno doesn’t have anyone telling him what to say. Duh!
Braid Paisley is out to perform “Southern Comfort Zone.” Peta And Tony are out to dance. This is a good old fashioned country tune by Brad. Woah. Nice one handed hold by Tony holding Peta in the air. Brad’s album is out now.
Val And Karina won the tweet contest last night to dance. That’s interesting. I thought Derek would be a shoe-in for the male pro picked. I want to mention that Jacoby And Zendaya won the prom king and queen last week and now their respective partners have won something. That could be a very strong sign of things to come later in the competition.
Segment 4
Brooke is talking with some of the couples are safe. Kellie was fighting tears last night because she married her best friend and she didn’t want to fall to pieces. He (her husband) was excited to be a part of it. Zendaya has been working hard and she feels she is growing weekly. Sean is intimidated because next week, they need to dance side by side with pros. Sean wants to redeem himself.
Now, the AT&T Spotlight Performance. We meet a girl who is legally blind and could only see about five feet in front of her. She was born with what’s called “dancing eyes.” But it doesn’t stop her from dancing. She loves it. She is thrilled to get to dance with her favorite pro on the show, Derek. Aww, this is gorgeous. They are dancing a really lovely contemporary piece. It is so awesome to see someone with life challenges overcome them and have a love for dancing. And I am sure it was one of the great moments of her life to dance with Derek.
Segment 5
Andrea Bocelli And Jennifer Lopez are out to perform their duet, “Quizas, Quizas, Quizas.” Val And Anna are out to dance. This is a really sweet duet even if I don’t know what they are singing. David Foster was on the piano.
Brooke is talking with the four couples who don’t know their fate. Lisa feels better today but it has been rough. D.L. is proud that he saved DWTS a ton on tan spreay, he danced as well as he could, and he got a 7 out of Len. Cheryl is very proud. Victor was happy with his performance and worked hard. Lindsay feels as though they did the best they could have. Andy would leave happy if he was eliminated because of last night’s dance. Sharna is proud of Andy’s growth.
We get a look back at the four dances from last night, with some extra footage. Now, time for results.
The next couple safe is… D.L. And Cheryl.
The final 3 couples are in jeopardy. And two of these couples are the legitimate bottom two. The final results are coming up. D.L. survives again. He definitely has people and at this point, the judges can be positive or negative. It doesn’t seem to matter at all. I want to predict Lisa And Gleb will be safe and the other two will be the bottom but who knows?
Segment 6
Time for the final result of the evening.
The final couple to be safe is… Andy And Sharna.
So, Victor And Lindsay and Lisa And Gleb are the legit bottom two.
The 3rd celebrity leaving DWTS in this fourth week are… Lisa And Gleb.
Interesting, they went last, she fainted, and Victor was quite forgettable (as usual) last night. Yet, she goes. I am quite surprised. Of course, she does deserve a boot because her dancing is lacking. I will miss Gleb’s face and body and I am sure he will miss showing it off. Lisa is gracious in her exit and we see footage of Lisa’s experience on the show.
Next week, Len’s Side By Side Challenge with the return of Max, Tony, Tristan, and Chelise!!!
I hope you all enjoyed watching along with me! :) See you next Monday!
