American Idol 12 Top 9 Sing The Lennon/McCartney Song Book Wed. Jesscia Sanchez & Ne-Yo Perform Thurs.

Next week, the Top 9 sing the songs of Lennon and McCartney. If I didn’t love the Beatles so much, I’d be complaining that it was an overdone theme at this point. On the other hand, those songs are damn good, so we could be in for some great performances.

Plus, confirmation that Jessica Sanchez and Ne-Yo will perform her single “Tonight” on Thursday. Yay.

American Idol winner, Phillip Phillips, was awarded a quadruple platinum plaque for his massive hit “Home” before he performed his single “Gone Gone Gone”. The new tune is the Season 12 “Goodbye” song.

Wednesday: American Idol Down But Still Dominant

American Idol is down 2 tenths vs last week’s Wednesday episode, However, viewers are up 13.1m vs 12.7m last week. Survivor down 1 tenth. According to Marc Berman, the show’s household ratings are down 25% from last year’s comparable episode. Survivor’s year to year losses were only 3%.
