Monday Ratings: New Year’s Rocking Eve Posts Best Ratings in 12 Years

ABC’s New Years Rockin Eve earned its biggest ratings in 12 years.  It was the first year without the legendary Dick Clark at the helm, and although there is no doubt Ryan Seacrest could fly solo, I think the curiosity factor had viewers tuning in.  Plus, its celebrity lineup was loaded with stars such as Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. Rockin’ Eve pretty much slaughtered The Carson Daly hosted special over on NBC.

FOX’s New Years Eve Live didn’t begin airing until after the local news at 11 pm. We’ll have to wait until the late night numbers are released to see how it fared (poorly, I’m guessing).

Monday Ratings: The Voice Dips, ACA Dives

The Voice is down vs. last week, but the numbers are still solid. The American Country Awards are down 30% compared to last year. Ouch. And the Michael Buble Christmas special, featuring Blake Shelton and Carly Rae Jepsen didn’t fare nearly as well as Blake’s special  last week. Buble might have done better if The Voice were his lead in.

Wednesday Ratings: Survivor, X Factor Rise

X Factor and Survivor are up significantly from last week’s Thanksgiving Day showings. Nashville stayed even with it’s last airing two weeks ago. And, Christmas at Rockefeller Center, featuring Mariah Carey, Scotty McCreery and Cee Lo Green hit a 4 year ratings high!
