Casey Abrams confirmed, via twitter, that he suffers from a chronic condition:
Just to let every one know, I have ulcerative colitis. I’m always going to have it, but the symptoms are pretty much under control.
“I just thought people should know, ” Casey explained to a fan, “I’ve been getting questions about it, so why not just get it out there, you know?”
After a second trip to the hospital caused the American Idol 10 contestant to miss last Thursday’s results show, THR reported that insiders revealed Casey suffered from the chronic condition.
Casey told a crowed at Paleyfest Monday night that he was feeling much better, “I’m feeling really good, ” Casey told the crowd, “I thought I was actually going to make it [to Thursday’s show] but I had to stay behind. It was fun and everyone waved at me, and I felt really supported by everyone, and I loved watching.”
With Casey’s health woes behind him, at least for now, he tweets excitedly about tonight’s show, “I’m exited for tonight, EVERYONE, I mean it, EVERYONE sounds incredible.”
