Blake Lewis Get to Know The Band!

From l. to r.: Johnny Nails, T.J., Kent Halvorson, Kevin Sawka, Blake Lewis, Chris Poage (Panda), Jeremy Lightfoot.

The picture of Blake’s band  is  from the set of  Blake Lewis’ upcoming video for his single, “Break Anotha.”  The video  premiers on Yahoo Music, Thursday December 6.   The CD, “Audio Day Dream” drops on December 4.

Bonus: Blake uhhm, takes care of business, as he tries his hand at comedy.   And, a  typically lame TMZ video.

  1. :( I wish I hadn’t watched those two videos. I’ve been a blake fan, but those clips did nothing to make me love him more. Bummer.

  2. The guy on the far left is Johnny Nails. :)

Blake is definitely not the “squeaky clean” Idol that AI usually produces. I kinda like that.

  3. I watched the TMZ one and didn’t find it bad at all. I enjoyed seeing Sarah from the Bachelor because she used to live in the city next door before she moved to LA. She’s very tiny because Blake looked tall next to her, lol.

Thanks for the list of appearances, MJ!

  4. I can’t seem to play the vids on my current connection. I have the feeling Blake may be funny in person, but that doesn’t always translate into comedy skits. See, writers are important. Networks, get with the program.

I guess I’ll reserve judgement until I can view them, though. :)

  5. The TMZ video is borderline repulsive.

At least he didn’t get his name tattooed on his back. Ha ha!

I’ll agree, didn’t need to view the nitty gritty details of the laser process.

I laughed at parts of the funny or die video, but then, my sense of humor can be pretty juvenile.

  6. At least he didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t get his name tattooed on his back.

LOL! I didn’t really care to see the details of the removal process either. But it was cool to see that tattoo since the only ones I’ve seen are the ones on his forearms.

The funny or die video was funny in parts. I like his stuff with his friends Ethan and Justin better.

  7. I thought the funny or die video was really funny. I didn’t see anything wrong with the tattoo video. What’s the big deal?

  8. Whatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s the big deal?

It was random to the point of being dumb, and watching his back get lasered was a little gross. Totally TMI.

  9. At least he didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t get his name tattooed on his back.

Whew. I still haven’t seen it and was a tad skeered he got “Bshorty Grabs the Mic” or something of that nature. Not sure if I need to see him getting a tat, either. I wouldn’t even want to look at myself getting one (which is why mine is on my back shoulder. LOL). I wonder if this was filmed for that show on tattoo artists. Or did they just film it for the heck of it?

  10. I didn’t find the childish bathroom attempted humor funny at all. He is reaching out to the level of Constantine. :nono_tb:

  11. I wasn’t offended by the vids – I just didn’t find them very interesting or entertaining, which is how I usually DO feel about Blake. Which was a bummer. He’s too cool and fresh and talented to be doing such lame stuff IMO. He’s better than that!

  12. Finally watched the Funny or Die vid. It was funny in parts. Not laugh out loud funny, though. I have no problem with potty humor. My friends and I were talking just the other day about how potty humor is divisive.

  13. I think the Funny Or Die video is…not funny. I couldn’t even get all the way through it.

I went to see Blake perform at a radio station concert in Nashville last night. He only had KJ, his drummer with him…it’s amazing how much they look alike! I actually thought KJ was Blake when he first came out onstage, lol. Blake called him his “brotha from anotha motha.” Anyway, I thought Blake was great…”Break Anotha” sounded awesome live and his performance was excellent as always! I think it will go over really well on all of his TV appearances. Blake was also really funny and charming last night without resorting to potty humor. I posted a recap at Team Plaid if anyone wants to read it. :)

  14. I thought the potty vid was amusing, but not laugh out loud funny. I didn’t think it was offensive or anything. The tattoo video, however, I got a great kick out of and I didn’t find anything wrong with it! He’s the only one that could have a laser on his back and still be having fun, LOL.
