FOX Baseball NLCS Rain Delay Impacts X Factor (UPDATED)

Dang. Rain delay! The NCLS Baseball game has been stopped due to rain. It’s the bottom of the 7th, 2 out and 2 on. It’s still raining. X Factor will DEFINITELY be delayed, if not postponed altogether.

FOX scheduling guru @maskedscheduler tweeted that FOX will try to air X Factor tonight if the game ends before 9:40 ET. After 9:30, FOX will run an X Factor repeat.

Remember when this happened last fall? Simon Cowell must be furious!

UPDATE: The rain will clear out of St. Louis at about 9 pm ET, according to a weather report from FOX.

UPDATE: X Factor Airing Now

Tonight’s X Factor Will Air in Full at 8 pm on Tuesday.

WHAT THE HELL? After a commercial break at about 9:45 PM, a repeat of The Mindy Project came on. Inexplicably. Then, the NLCS game resumed at 10:05 pm.

FOX effed up big time here. BIG TIME. I mean, were the executives making these decisions DRUNK OR SOMETHING? They began X Factor with very little warning after a repeat of Ben and Kate. If they had started X Factor at 8 they could have aired the entire episode. Instead, they cut it off abruptly. A scroll at the bottom of the screen finally said that tonight’s episode of X Factor will air in it’s entirety at 8 pm on Tuesday.

The Voice is going to KILL IT.

By the time FOX began airing X Factor they KNEW when the rain would stop and that inevitably, the episode would be interrupted. They should have cancelled it outright and aired it on Tuesday. It was so confusing, who even knew it was on?

X Factor is still airing in Canada. Posting spoilers in the X Factor thread

WTF. The Canadian feed switched to an X Factor Repeat. WHAT THE HELL. No more spoilers tonight. CLUSTERF*CK

CTV switched to an X Factor repeat right before the fate of the last 2 groups were to be revealed. What a freaking mess. Heads are going to roll at FOX tomorrow.

Simon Cowell tweeted, “It what’s known as a total f up.”
