Canadian Idol alum and pop star, Carly Rae Jepsen will take part in American Idol’s 3rd Perfect Harmony program. You may remember Tao Cruiz and Jason Derulo taking part in the interactive program that allows fans to help write a song to be debuted on the final. This season, viewers can also vote on elements such as wardrobe, back up dancers and stage effects.

Tuesday Ratings: Smash Matches Series Low, DWTS Clip Show Solid

On NBC, Smash ratings matched its series low, down from last week. At least the numbers went up a smidge in the 2nd half hour. Not that it matters now.

A recap episode of Dancing with The Stars beat new episodes of Go On and The New Normal on NBC and The Mindy Project on FOX. And on an unrelated note–who is watching that diving show, Splash? I had to turn it off after 15 minutes…
