American Idol 2022 runner-up HunterGirl teases a new song, “Lonely Outta You.” The country singer songwriter finished up a co-headlining tour last year with Idol winner Noah Thompson. Now she’s on the road performing solo shows.

One of the songs she is performing is a tune she wrote. “I wrote this song for anybody who has been hurt in past relationships. Nothing really went right and hope the right one comes along and says this…” And then she sings along with a track.

The lyrics go “I wanna love the lonely out of you, So whatever whoever didn’t do, Pick up the pieces that they broke, Hold you like I won’t let go if you want me to, I wanna love the lonely out of you…”

The singer teased the song in two more posts, so it is probably her next single! Listen to a preview of the new song below.

Speaking of singles, HunterGirl released her first post-American Idol song, “Hometown Out of Me” last fall via 19 Recordings/BBR Music Group.

“My hometown has supported my dream since I was little and especially through this crazy year of my life,” share HunterGirl. “I wanted my first single following the show to be a thank you card to my hometown. The reason I get to chase my dream is because of the amazing people who have supported me. No matter where this journey takes me, I will never forget where I came from.”

A Tennessee native, singer/songwriter HunterGirl has been performing since she was three years old and writing songs since she was 9. In her early teens, she performed at venues across the United States, competed in singing competitions and won the 2014 Texaco Country Showdown.

Having family members in the military, HunterGirl is inspired to work with veteran organizations where she uses music therapy to transform veterans’ stories into songs.

Hunter performed her heartfelt original American Idol winner’s song, “Red Bird” on Live with Kelly & Ryan and has appeared on Good Morning America.
