The casting for the American Idol reboot on ABC has begun! I wonder if producers will be holding casting calls in various cities across the country? ETA: Reminded by someone in comments that the Idol Facebook page announced the Tour Bus would be back. However, no dates have been announced yet.
The Voice depends heavily on casting calls, but still holds about four open castings in key cities. Note: The age eligibility is still 15-28.
Also the casting about for “stories.” I hope the Disneyfied version of American Idol doesn’t push tragic backstories at the expense of talent.

An interesting aside: This casting person, Meg Maley is THAT Meg Maley from Big Brother 17. Remember her? She was everyone’s best friend:
Her reality television fame helped her network into a sweet new gig behind the scenes casting other reality shows. Or something. ETA: Meg studied music theater in college. Here she is singing at a NYC club
