As expected, more viewers tuned in last night to check out new judge, Ellen Degeneres take her place on the judges panel:
Ignited by the arrival of new judge Ellen DeGeneres, American Idol scored a massive 27.74 million viewers and a 10.1 rating/26 share among adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. But competing CBS blockbuster NCIS was certainly no slouch at 19.68 million viewers and a 4.2/11 in the demo.
However, as you can see, NCIS held it’s own over at CBS. Last week, Idol’s Denver audition pulled 24.44 million viewers and a 8.9 rating/23 share at 8 p.m.
