American Idol 12 – Top 4 iTunes Studio Performances (AUDIO)

Listen to FULL STREAMS of the American Idol 12 Top 4 studio recordings. This week, the finalists sang One Hit Wonders and a song of  their choosing.

Amber Holcomb – “Power of Love” – Download from iTunes – Eh. This recording is straight out of the 80’s including the cheesy synthesizer track. I’m not feeling this one little bit. Zz.

Candice Glover – “Find Your Love” – Download from iTunes – Holy cow. The vocal on this recording is absolutely AMAZING. HOT. Candice is singing her face off on this track. Stupid judges are stupid. Grrr.

Kree Harrison – ”It Hurt So Bad” – Download from iTunes –  Keith Urban should take a listen to this recording. There’s as much emotion in this performance as he could ever want. A gritty, scorching vocal from Kree.

Angie Miller – “Who U R” – Download from iTunes – This song is right in Angie’s wheelhouse. She’s doing that over-enunciating thing again. But that’s a quibble.  I believe her when she sings, and I can’t always say that about Angie.

Amber Holcomb – “MacArthur Park” – Download from iTunes – There are rain sound effects in this song. And it’s 6 minutes long.  Jimmy spoke the truth. Corny ballad turns into cheesy disco. No. Just no.

Candice Glover – “Emotion” – Download from iTunes – Not one of my favorite Candice performances, because I’m not a fan of this song in the first place. But I’ll take Candice’s sweet soulful version any day over the Bee Gees.

Kree Harrison – “Whiter Shade of Pale” – Download from iTunes – The echoy backing track borders on elevator music andis a little distracting. Kree is definitely hitting the very top of her upper register here, but for the most part, Kree’s achy, honey-like vocals record really well.

Angie Miller – “Cry Me A River” – Download from iTunes – I bet Angie sang this song at a high school assembly at one point. The song firmly establishes the fact that Angie is NOT a jazz singer.
