I ensured that I set my DVR to record the West Coast feed of the show to ensure I do not have any issues watching the entire episode. I also recently switched to a night shift at work so expect the recap in the early hours of the morning rather then soon after the West Coast feed finishes.

Hello folks and welcome to another Sunday night. We are down to the final five teams and Team Hockey are off to Dresden, Germany and must travel to the Ministry of Finance to choose an ALL NEW FORD FUSION to find their next clue.
It is a 20 minute wait for a taxi so Team Hockey, the Derby Moms, and the Newlyweds walk to the train station. All the trains end up on the first train the following morning. On the train Bates seems to have his bag stolen from his seat but luckily he has his passport on him so no real worries. The Stealing Angels continue to have a major crush on the Hockey Players as they offer any help that is needed. I’d be surprised if a relationship doesn’t come out of these two teams.
In Germany teams race to cab taxis and the Newlyweds are the first to arrive. Teams must answer three race inspired questions on the touch based screen. The answer some Reagan inspired questions and are on their way to Berlin to the Brandenburg Gate to find there next clue. Berlin always makes me think if the movie Euro Trip.
Team YouTube and Stealing Angels have some trouble thinking of the answers but breeze through when they get the multiple choices. Jennifer considers giving Bates and Anthony the answers but drives off since they are thinking of themselves for once. Luckily the Hockey Players and Derby Moms answer quick and during the drive catch up on Stealing Angels. Both teams say that they like working together but they have to start thinking of themselves since it is a race.
The Newlyweds are the first to arrive and are now off to the Park Inn Hotel where they must travel to the roof top of the hotel for the next clue. They are off as the Hockey Players and Stealing Angels arrive on Berlin but stop to get directions to the gate. Anthony decides to take the lead but while driving the Stealing Angels fall behind and lose sight of the Hockey Players.
The Stealing Angels decide to stop at a hotel for directions and feel betrayed by the Hockey Players even though I don’t think they lost them on purpose. Either way a little conflict is good.
The Newlyweds arrive at the Park Inn Hotel and Phil lets us know that the teams will have to do something called “Base Fly” which is essential jumping 37 stories down to the ground looking down at the ground the entire time.
Team YouTube arrive second at the gate and are followed by Derby Moms and Hockey Players. Stealing Angels arrive last. Max and Katie make the jump and get the next clue.
Detour:
- Train Trials: Teams must travel to a Train Museum and build a train tracks and have a train travel a complete lap.
- Font Follies: Teams must go to a market stand and carry two letters to a museum. If the letters are delivered with no damage they will get the next clue.
The other four teams all do their jumps. Newlyweds choose Font Follies along with Derby Moms, The Hockey Players, and Stealing Angels. Team YouTube choose the Train Trials by themselves. Stealing Angels are not happy about going with Bates and Anthony since if it comes down to a foot race they don’t think they can win.
Katie seems to hit her letter off a post but I don’t think there is any damage. They stop for some directions while Derby Moms find the letters. At the Train Museum Team YouTube get to work building their track while Team Hockey and Stealing Angels grab letters and are off.
The Newlyweds are the first to deliver their letters and are off to Salon Zur Wilden Renate to find their next clue. Team YouTube take their first attempt on the tracks but are done in by a tree near the track.
For the Roadblock they must first say who said a quote (JFK) and then must go through an awesome maze to with flashing lights and crazy creep statues to find a White Room for their next clue.
On the walk The showmance teams stop to ask for directions and Anthony’s letter falls over and cracks so he has to go back and get a new letter. I am not sure why you would not be more careful with those letters.
The Showmance parts ways as the Hockey Players head over to the other detour. Katie makes her way through the creepy maze and the Newlyweds are now off to the Kurfurstendamm for this leg’s Pit stop. As always the last team to arrive may be eliminated. As they are off the Derby Moms deliver the letters and are off for the maze.
Back at the train detour Team YouTube are on attempt 7 and complete the lap to move on in third place. They are followed by Stealing Angels in fourth. Bates and Anthony arrive at the train Museum way back. Personally I think I would have gone back for another letter.
The Newlyweds hit the mat in first and each win their own ALL NEW 2013 FORD FUSION.
The Derby Moms are having trouble finding the maze which could be good for Team Hockey. Team YouTube arrive at the next clue and must ask pub patrons to answer their question. The eventually find someone who knows the answer and Joey is into the maze.
Bates and Anthony are having trouble with the trains but are lucky since Derby Moms have no clue where they are going.
Joey makes his way through and they are off for the Pit Stop as Stealing Angels arrive. Jennifer enters the maze. On attempt 9 the Hockey Player finish and say they need a miracle which just so happens to be the Derby Moms who are stuck on a round-about driving in circles. They stop for directions at a hostel and seem to now know where they are going.
Jennifer is making her way through the maze and find the clue for the pit stop. Team YouTube arrive in second place as the Derby Moms arrive at the pub but are having trouble answering the questions. They get the answer as Team Hockey arrives. They are both into the maze as Stealing Angels arrive at the pit stop in third. Beth and Anthony are walking through the maze and start working together since there is no other choice. They get through together and it’ll be a foot race to the end.
Hockey Players decide to stay close with them and try to beat them in a race. It works with them as they arrive just ahead of the Derby Moms. It is a Non-Elimination round which I suspected would be the case since there is still a few weeks before the finale. The Derby Moms comment that Bates and Anthony are dangerous and need to be gone from the race.
Next Week the teams are off to Scotland and there will be a Double U-turn and it appears that Team YouTube and Derby Moms will have a three hour lead on a plane. Of Course this will most likely be misleading as when they land they will probably need to wait for something to open before continuing.
