Ace Young Comes Home

Tonight's Denver, CO Idol's show is a homecoming of sorts for Ace Young, who hails from Boulder, CO.

Today's Rocky Mountain News features this article.  Ace loves the tour,  and he's managed to work in songwriting time on the road in preparation for his solo album which he hopes to release early next year.

The article also details Ace's fundraising efforts for Denver's Children's hospital.  Currently he is spearheading a $1.5 million project to build housing for out-of-state families who come for treatment.  To learn more about Ace's fundraising efforts, check out Highrollers with Heart.org for more information.

This article from dailycamera.com features a companion audio interview.  Did you know Ace's father Jay is a former opera singer?  He was skeptical of Ace's plans to try out for Idol but now understands the power Idol has to kick-start careers that are already in progress.

And, finally, Part II of Ace's interview with Mrs Jones  is up here.

By the way, there is an After Idols party featuring The Little Memphis Blues Orchestra and special guests (that would be Taylor Hicks, Elliott Yamin, Ace Young and Bucky Covington) after the Idol's show tonight at Herman's Hideaway.  It promises to be a blast and tickets are STILL available…
