Here’s more on Ayla Brown’s recording deal:

Brown’s full album, at the moment, is slated to be called “Forward, ” and will have about 11 songs on it. It may include a song entirely written by Brown herself, in addition to one she helped write. Scott Brown said it is expected that some Grammy Award-winning songwriters and singers may be involved in his daughter’s debut album. The details are still being worked on, he said. “We won’t know until we get down there who’s involved, ” he said. Brown’s single is expected to be released Sept. 12. She will debut her single on KISS 108 on Aug. 29 at 7:15 a.m. The September single release will be followed by release of Brown’s full album Oct. 16

Despite scathing reviews, Fantasia’s Lifetime bio-pic Life is not a Fairytale scored some impressive ratings for the Lifetime channel:

“The Fantasia Barrino Story: Life is Not a Fairy Tale” drew a hefty 6.6 million viewers in its premiere on Saturday, making it the No. 2 original movie in the cable network’s 22-year history. Only the 1995 flick “Almost Golden, ” which starred Sela Ward as journalist Jessica Savitch.

And finally, Constantine Maroulis has been cast in the Broadway musical “The Wedding Singer” according to Playbill

…he [Constantine] will enter Wedding Singer for eight weeks beginning Sept. 8. He will play the role of Sammy, the dimwitted friend of Stephen Lynch’s Robbie Hart. The role was created by Matthew Saldivar.

“The Wedding Singer” is based on the Drew Barrymore/Adam Sandler movie of the same name.
