Homecoming

Homecoming

The Final Three will be visiting their hometowns tomorrow to film a special homecoming video package for next week’s shows. In Katharine’s case, she’ll only have to travel a few miles away.  She lives in Sherman Oaks, CA.  Here are the Idol’s schedules for tomorrow:

Elliott Yamin, Richmond VA.  Schedule, from Richmond Times Dispatch  Thanks to cristina and grrr.

6 a.m.: Watch for Yamin on WWBT-Channel 12’s “News Today.”

7 a.m.: Listen for your favorite singer on WRVQ-FM (Q94) with the “Q Morning Zoo.”

11:45 a.m.: It’s an open-air concert at the James Center, 12th and East Cary streets. According to Allen Rothert, special event coordinator for the city, an as-yet-to-be-determined musical group will perform at 11:45 a.m., and Mayor L. Douglas Wilder will take the stage at noon.

After Wilder speaks, sometime between noon and 12:30 p.m., Elliott will sing one number. Rumor has it he might be performing Michael Bublé’s “Home.” Rumor also had it he would be performing three songs, but that’s incorrect. As Rothert pointed out, Yamin doesn’t want to wear out his voice.

4 p.m.: The big “E” will ride in style — in a convertible — from the large parking lot at Byrd Park’s Carillon, north on the Boulevard, to The Diamond. He is scheduled to arrive at the Carillon at 4 p.m., where he’ll stand up (in the car) to greet fans and then be driven directly to The Diamond.

Rothert says how fast the motorcade goes depends upon how many fans are lining the Boulevard.

7 p.m.: “American Idol” contestant Elliott Yamin of Richmond will not, as rumored, perform the national anthem. He will, however, sing one song. He also will open the game with the first pitch at The Diamond, 3001 N. Boulevard, before the Richmond Braves play the Toledo Mud Hens

Taylor Hicks, from Birmingham, AL.  His schedule: Thank you Penny

5:00 – 9:00 am:  Fox6 morning show live.  He will also be on the Rick & Bubba radio show

9:00 – 10:00:  Rick and Bubba radio show.  The appearance will be sometime during this hour.

Noon:  Parade down 20th Street in downtown Birmingham.  They are asking fans to line to streets between 1st Ave. North and Linn Park.  Taylor will be performing at the park at the end of the parade.

1:45:  He will be performing with his local band at the Riverchase Galleria.  They are asking that people be there by 1:00.  The Riverchase Galleria folks will be giving away mall gift certificates to people with the most creative posters for Taylor.

Tomorrow night:  Taylor will be performing at the Birmingham Museum of Art in a program called “Art on the Rocks”.

I don’t have Katharine McPhee’s schedule, but if anybody can provide that, I’ll post her’s as well.  And if anybody has any additions and/or clarifications, please shoot me an email or leave a comment. Thanks!
