Song Spoilers

Song Spoilers

An Elliott Yamin family friend posted a list of Queen song spoilers in Elliott’s forum at americanidol.com.  He posted this with no explanation.  It could be speculation on his part.

Taylor Hicks – Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Chris Daughtry –  We Will Rock You/We are the Champions
Bucky Covington  – Another One Bites the Dust
Ace Young  – Bohemian Rhapsody

The Ace Young song choice?  I’ve been hearing a little buzz about that one… (meaning I’ve heard this rumor elsewhere)

For Elliott Yamin’s song choice, his friend posted only clues:

Clue:  “I have no Faith in rumors”

Answer:  The 13th cut on Disc 2 of George Michael’s record “The Best of George Michael” is “Faith”.  The 14th cut is “Somebody to Love” with QUEEN.

So the GUESS is:

Elliot Yamin – Somebody to Love

The Elliott Yamin spoiler looks like a good bet.  This Clue Game hosted by Friends of Elliott has been going on for a few weeks.  They post the clues, and someone guesses it correctly every week.

“Somebody to Love” for Elliott looks like a keeper.

thanks to the reader who sent me a link to the spoiler thread at the official forum.  and thanks to the super-sleuths in Elliott’s thread at Twop for putting together the clues…

Other News

Chris Walks the Line.  Ed Makes the Cash (and I don’t mean Johnny).

While Chris Daughtry’s reputation may have suffered as a result of “Livegate, “–the band Live, who Chris presumably “ripped off, ” isn’t upset at all:

“…Ed [ Kowalczyk] is planning on performing an all acoustic cover of Johnny Cash’s “Walk The Line” which will be streamed live on the Jumbo-tron at Yankee Stadium during their game against the RC Royals on April 12th.”

AND

“DOWNLOADS OF LIVE’S 2001 COVER OF JOHNNY CASH “I WALK THE LINE” SKYROCKET!
With the recent controversy swirling around American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry’s strikingly similar rendition of Live’s 2001 cover of the Johnny Cash favorite, “I Walk The Line, ” Ed Kowalczyk has nothing but praise for the American Idol fan favorite. “We wish Chris the best of luck in the competition! I thought he did a great job with the song. There’s no doubt he’s a talented performer and I hope he goes far, ” says Kowalczyk.”

I’ll bet the band is hoping Chris “rips off” a few more of their arrangements.

thanks to my chica grrr for that item
