X Factor Promo: Britney Cringes As Hopeful Butchers “Circus” (VIDEO)

A new X Factor preview features a couple of joke contestants. The first one, Pat Derry, I saw live in Providence earlier in the summer.

I even posted unedited audio of the audition, because it was so audacious. Plus, Pat had once auditioned for Idol, which Simon did not seem to remember, despite being nicknamed “Saucy Simon” by the former Idol hopeful.

I was sitting behind Britney and didn’t catch the faces she was making while Pat butchered her tune “Circus”.  Good stuff.

    LOL Go Demi! I’ll watch this season for sure. I just hope they’ll have a better contestants this year.

    And on TMZ, Simon just admitted they lied to the press (wow what a surprise for people who believe the spin) about Brit walking off set on day one – saying she had to go to a bathroom- Simon admitted she had a panic style attack and wanted out of her contracts, saying she didnt think she could go on and do it

    I wish they get rid of their joke acts – It was funny the first time on Idol but now its just obvious that the contestants are in on the joke and try to be outrageous for their 15 minutes of fame – or maybe 5 minutes.  ANd it gives the judges to do their banter…I do think even though Im not a Demi fan, she may be better than we all thought.  I want to see the judges when the show goes live and they have to be spontaneous and are they going to give good critiques or are they just gonna bad mouth their opponent judges contestants, and is Jason Trawick still going to be sitting behind Britney to tell her what to say; I have no doubt she will have pre scripted rehearsed lines – at least some of the time

    Oh my goodness! That dude was an Idol reject! The irony is that he butchered “Womanizer” for his American Idol Season 9 audition. :P Watch this youtube video.

    I saw this promo clip the other day and thought the expressions on Brittney’s face were hilarious! I think it’s especially funny that Pat is still trying to get on singing competitions after all of this time. I can’t wait for this new season, I can already tell that it’s going to provide a lot of great conversation with my Dish coworkers. This is why I’m glad I have the Hopper which automatically records all prime time shows that are on major networks with the Prime Time Anytime feature. I love the convenience of not having to set up timers.
